Short-term rental legislation was passed in North Kansas City by the City Council on July 5, 2023.

Staff continues to work to establish the framework to allow the City to administer the program. This includes creating application forms, developing workflows, and allocating sufficient staff hours to effectively manage the new program. City staff are also coordinating efforts with relevant rental platforms during this timeframe.

Completed applications or questions can be emailed to permits@nkc.org. Paper copies are also available at City Hall, located at 2010 Howell Street. You can also call the Community Development Department at 816-274-6006 with any questions.
