A Note from the Director
The work of the Community Development Department impacts both the past, present, and future of North Kansas City. We help to plan for future development, issue permits and inspect ongoing projects, and ensure that existing buildings and neighborhoods are well maintained. A key element in our work is collaboration – with other city departments; with architects, engineers, and contractors; and with NKC businesses, property owners, and residents.
